Timing Tower

HYROX station calculator

The station maths on one page: SkiErg and Row pace per 500 m, sled time per length and a set plan for the wall balls.

Split Gate reference model ·

SkiErg and Row

Both are 1 000 m in every division, and the monitor shows pace per 500 m. Type a 1 000 m time to see the split to hold, or a split to see the finish time.

4:30 for 1 000 m is 2:15 per 500 m - the number to hold on the monitor for both halves.

Sled push and sled pull

Both sleds cover 50 m in four 12.5 m lengths. Type a total to see the time per length, or a length time to see the total.

3:00 for 50 m is 0:45 for each 12.5 m length, turns included.

Wall balls

100 reps. Pick a pace per rep, a set size and a rest you can hold - the total shows what the plan costs. Short planned rests beat long unplanned ones.

4 / 3

100 reps × 3 s = 5:00 of work, plus 3 rests × 10 s = 0:30: 5:30 in all.

Typical station times by finish time

What each station takes at seven finish times, with the number to watch while you do it: pace per 500 m on the ergs, time per 12.5 m length on the sleds, seconds per wall-ball rep.

How the numbers are calculated

Every calculator on these pages scales the same reference model: Split Gate's own model of how a typical Open race divides its time - not official HYROX data and not anyone's personal results.

The reference model: each segment's share

About 94% of a typical finish is moving - the eight runs and eight stations - and about 6% is roxzone. The table gives each segment's share of the moving time. The model is proportional: a faster athlete is assumed faster everywhere by the same factor, so wherever you have your own splits, they beat it.
